Short story of Amigurumi
Amigurumi, This word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.
This amigurumi usually done in single crochet(Sc) in the round. Amigurumi are made up of parts that are crocheted, stuffed, and sewn together. As you can see from the picture, all these are crocheted by me. I have spent quite some times in preparing all these.
Found a very good blog for new learner to learn how to read the symbols of crochet:
http://www.craftyminx.com/2011/11/crochet-school-lesson-21-reading-crochet-charts.html
Here is some abbreviation for crochet:
BPsc = back post single crochet
ch = chain
CL = cluster
dc = double crochet
dec = decrease
FPsc = front post single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
inc = increase
lp(s) = loops
MC = main colour
MR = Magic ring
sc = single crochet
sc2tog = single crochet 2 stitches together
sl st = slip stitch
sk = skip
trc = treble crochet
WS = wrong side
YO = yarn over
